The center of the plate is occupied by a naturalistically modelled black snake and surrounded with lizards, salamander, and other creatures all resting on a bed of leaves and shells. Great color and fantastic trompe l'oeil detail. This plate could be hung on the wall or displayed in a kitchen or library.
