Attractive 19th century Faience jardiniere decorated in shades on blue on a pale blue ground of landscapes with soldiers, shepherds and putti, mountains, and trees. Ornate handles at either end formed as open-mouthed gargoyles with horns forming the upper rim. This is atop a fish form pedestal over an elongated octagon base. Circa 1890 Very unique piece that would be a wonderful focal point on a commode, filled with flowers or fruit.
